About Me
Naseem Khericha was born and raised in India. She moved to the U.S. in 1982 and has lived in Idaho Falls for the past 36 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Gujarat, India, and a master’s degree in psychology from University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and a Certified EMDR Therapist, Sand Tray Specialist, and IFS informed Therapist.
Naseem has worked as a clinician with Department of Health & Welfare Region VI & VII. When she was with Region VI, she conducted psychological evaluations on populations ranging from birth-3 years. In this capacity she participated in MDT meetings, and provided recommendations based on the evaluation results. In Region VII, she worked with children who met the criteria for serious emotional disturbance, ranging from 3-18 years of age. She worked as a psychometrician at Southeast Idaho Center for Neurobehavioral and Developmental Disorders She has conducted Comprehensive Neuro-Psychological Evaluations on all ages, including, children with behavioral and emotional difficulties, as well as individuals with Development Delays, she provided therapy on a part time basis while working full time as a psychometrician.
Naseem is trained in trauma interventions, such as EMDR Therapy, and IFS informed Processes. She has training in EMDR therapy using sand tray as a medium. She has worked with simple to complex trauma, Dissociation, sexual abuse, personality disorders, mood disorders, Developmental Delay, and more.
In her personal life, Naseem likes art, such as coloring, painting, singing, and cooking. Naseem likes to go on a simple to moderately difficult hikes with family and friends. She loves being in nature. Her animal totem is "Butterfly". She often says, "find the butterfly in you" ... meaning challenge yourself and face the fire so that you can go on the other side of the fire quickly and be safe.
