Calvin Hurd

Calvin is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who primarily works with children and teenagers ages 5–18. His approach emphasizes play-based interventions, along with techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches tailored to each child or teen’s individual needs. Calvin is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where young people can build emotional awareness, develop coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges.

Originally from rural Missouri, Calvin earned his bachelor’s degree in social work from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2023 and his master’s degree in social work from University of Kentucky in 2025. Over the past several years, he has worked with children and teens in a variety of mental health settings.

Outside of work, Calvin enjoys spending time with his wife and working with his hands through woodworking, gardening, and mechanical projects. He also loves the outdoors and is a big fan of animals.
